By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright. (Reeeived May 15, 8.50 a.m.) MELBOURNE, May 15. Lord and Lady Denman have departed for England. Speaking at a farewell Parliamentary luncheon Mr Joseph Cook, Federal Premier, and Mr A. Fislier, eulogised Lord Denman's administration.
Lord Denman, in replying, said lie had been here long enough to under: stand the underlying feelings of Australians in regard to a White Australia and he recognised that Australia would never be content to rely on a treaty with any foreign power, however friendly that power .was, for the defence of the Pacific.
