Mir Turner, an actuary, reports that owing to miscalculation in friendly society records, and not owing to a fraud, the Post and Telegraph Civil Service Benevolent Society has q, deficiency of £883,000 in its funds, which was necessary to pay the promised benefits. He largely reduced benefits.
