•The annual Sydney ram and ewe fair is to be.held on July 6 and following days this year.
The Provincial Conference of delegates representing the various branches ®f the Farmers Union throughout Canis to be held in the Canterbury A. and P. Association's rooms on May £8 and 29.
One of the most interesting exhibits at the forthcoming' Rangiora Winter Show will be that of the Department of Agriculture. This will occupy the whole of the, south wall frontage of the Drill I-lall with a "depth of 15 feet. Mr A. Maepherson', superviser of tlfe South Island fields experiments will be in charge of the exhibit Yesterday, at Rangiora, Messrs Pync and Co. sold on behalf of the executors of the late Mr T. Sutherland, a property of 31 acres. Mr. D. Schluter, of Rangiora, was the purchaser at £4l 10/per acre.
