The annual meeting of the Methodist Local Preachers' Mutual Aid Association of New Zealand was held in the Cargill Road Schoolroom on Saturday. Representatives were present from Christchurch, Ashburton, and Dunedin. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr J. Voss; vicepresident, Mr E. W. Dowling; secretary, Mr \M. Priest; treasurer, Mr G. W. Andrews; trustees, Messrs E. W. Holland and W. Harding. The reports from working branches were considered satisfactory. No reports were received from Wellington or Auckland. It was stated that there were 40 students in the corresponding classes and that a goodly number had passed their examinations. The Rev. C. H. Laws was reappointed tutor at a remuneration of £25 for the year. The next meeting will be held in" Christchurch about the time of the next Methodist Conference, and half the travelling fares of officers attending will be paid by the association. - • •
