Unconfirmed reports state that" several have been killed and many injured in the electoral riots. The Senate is disinclined to sanction the investing of the Rochette Commission with judical powers, fearing that it would be a step towards the Chamber of Deputies usurping judical power they have usurped a large share of power. Cailaux's supporters oii the Montmartre fired a revolver. , ; The police drew their swords and dispersed the crowd. A number of people were injured, and several arrests were made.
