UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS.

News has been received of the following further successes of Canterbury College students in the University examinations for 1913: —

William F. Tracey, M.A. degree, with third-class honours in Political Science.

S. Parr, - M.A. degree, with firstclass honours in Mental Science. J. F. D. White, B.A. degree; L. C. Andrew, LL.B. degree, first section. J. Morrison, LL.B. degree, first section.

J. V. Wilson, B.A. degree and three Senior Scholarships in Latin, Greek, and History. C. L. Young, first section B.A. C. W. Free, first section LL.B. The record of J. V. Wilson is a remarkable one, and puts him at the head of New Zealand University scholars, the best result obtained previously being two senior scholarships. His scholastic record is a distinguished one throughout. F. W. Moore has been advised of his success in four subjects of the B.A. course.

M. G. Irwin, of Clarkville, has received word of his suecess in the degree examination in political economy and mental science.

A. F. Barrell, of the secondary department of the West Christchurch District High School, has been informed that he has passed his B.A. degree. E. A. Cuthbevt, of Otago University, has received intimation that he has passed the final section of the B.A. examination, and the first section of the LL.B. He also has won the "John Tinline" Scholarship in English. G. G. Hancox, of Temuka, has passed the M.A. degree with second-class honours in political science. Further examination results as follows: —d. G. Wilson, first section 8.A.; W. H. Cocker, first section 8.A.; J. W. T. Ross, first section LL.B.; A. C. T. Purchas, M.A., second-class honours (geology), and Haast prize; 11. Eochfort, first section 8.A.; C. S. Marshall, M.A., double second-class honours, modern languages (French and German), political" science (history and economy); P. Carrington, M.A., secondclass honours (Latin and English).
