The Standard Insurance Company's report states that the net income for 1913 was £110,076, and the expenditure £86,900, leaving £23,166 to be carried forward, to which has to be added the balance carried forward from last year, £,249. In June last an interim dividend of £3750 was paid, and £.10,000 ha 3 been added to the reserve fund, and £3,500 to the reinsurance fund. Of the balance the directors recommend a dividend of 8 per cent, for the half-year ending December 31 last, absorbing £6,000 and carrying forward £8,176.
