Amongst the acceptors for the Speedwell Handicap at Addington to-morrow are the American-bred mare Bonny Jenny and her four-year-old daughter Bonista. Before being brought to New Zealand, Bonny Jenny was mated with Star Pointer and raced here; for several months when carrying Bonista. When being exercised at the Addington track a few days ago, Bonification fell and his trainer sustained a broken collar bone. The Specification horse has been withdrawn from his engagements at the Metropolitan Meeting in consequence of the mishap. The New Brighton trailer, V 'A. 6. After doing a successful stud seasoii in the Taranaki district the Americanbred stallion Peralta has returned to his owner's place at Spreydon. Two prominent Wanganui Gup candidates in Sir Solo and Sir Knox are reported to be pleasing their trainers at Opaki. The latter will probably be ridden by R.
