A SUDDEN CALL.
' e With quite startling suddenness the death occurred, shortly before noon yesterday, of: Mr Irving Sayles, the popular coloured comedian. Apparently in, the full bloom of health, and certainly in the most jovial spirits, he was chatting with some friends . just outside the Dominion Hotel in Gloucester Street, where he had been staying, when he suddenly collapsed, and died almost immediately afterwards. Medical aid was fruitless, as when Dr. Jennings arrived in response to a telephone call, life was extinct.
