Mounted riflemen in New Zealand ' who practically constitute a mounted infantry branch of the Territorials, " will be interested to learn that the English mounted infantry divisions have been done away with, as far as it applies to the Mounted Brigade of the Imperial Army, and in future the divisional mounted troops will be supplied by the cavalry squadrons. Another arrangement which has taken place at Home is that infantry-batta-lions are now organised in the Imperial Army in four double companies,, of 250 men in each battalion, in place • of the eight companies which have up to now existed. ——
