HOW THE DOCTORS FARE.
INSURANCE SCHEME AT HOME. By Cable. — Press Association. — Copyright. (Received February 9, 8.55 a.m.) LONDON, February 8. ' Presiding at a doctors/ dinner in honour of Dr Christopher' Addison, M.P. for the Hoxton division of Shoreditch, the Rt. Hon. D. Lloyd George stated that 20,000 out of the 22,500 doctors in Britain were on the- insurance .panels, but that' 20,000, however, included duplicate names of those serving on more than one panel. The Government had distributed £4,500,000 amongst these- doctors, averaging £230 apiece. The average in London was £330, Birmingham £3BO, Manchester £295, Liverpool £370, and * Durham £230.
