ANOTHER DECLINE.
LONDON, November 26. Tlie wool sales opened with brisk competition. Prices show from par to 5 per cent, decline.
November 27. At the wool saleSi Messrs Baline and
Co., By i and Ronald, and Jacomb and Son ..evea 10,785 b<-.le<*. It was > wretched selection. There was a large attendance and excellent competition. Prices for so&d merinos were en a par ■with tho^e ax the closing sales in the October series. Faulty deeliued 5 per ceut., and medium low cro«-«breds o to 11 per cent. No fine was offered. November 28. At the wool sales ye-terclay there was &' better .selection. Prices were very firm, for merinos especially, the finest ibeing equal to the average obtained at last sale*-. Continental buyer- were^very keen competitor*. Cros^breds n-ere 5 per 'pent, lower than the clo.-ing .sales of .October, excepting in lots suitable for the American markets. The Patoka clip gold at s^-d ; Torlesse, lo|d. The Bradford wool market is firmer. poinmon pixde--, 18kl ; super, 19-kl. 4 At the London tales prices are unchanged. Be«t sorts are in strong dem.and.' Americans are buying the best pro^sbreds. November 29.
All wool is veiy firm, excepting faulty short scoureds. lecember 3. The wool clips Tahra and Dalethorpe tetilised Gel and B|d respectively. The first Wellington wool sales of the sea#on were held yesterday, and prices all round showed a fall as compared with the first sale of 4ast season of 2d to 2^d per lb. Dalgety and Co. (Limited) report having (received the following cable from their head office, dated London, November 26: — " Wool sales opened with a large attendance cf buyers ; very poor selection ; competition fairly animated. Offerings are principally composed of medium and coarse prossfcred wools. Prices are lower by 4 to 6 per .tent." The Not Zealand Loan and Mercantile lAgeney Company (Limited) have received ita following cablegram from their London ioffice under to-day's date- (November 27): — ""Wool: The sales opened at an average decline of about 7£ per cent, on last sales' closing . rates for medium and :oar&e cro&sJfrred, and a decline of about 5 per :ent. for faulty merions. There is much irregularity an the bidding."' Messrs Dalgctr and Co. report having received the following cable from their fiead office, dated London, November 27: — *'Wool sale^ continue firm, and lately-re-ported rates are fully maintained."'
