THE PERTHSHIRE.
AUCKLAND, May 30.
The steamers Stella and Sterling left Hokianga this afternoon. Both vessels will tow the Perthshire, if found. The captains have arranged to meet in lat. 32.30, long. 169, at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Should only one vessel turn up she will proceed to Norfolk Island, arriving there on Friday. If she does not then meet the other she will return to Cape Maria to report. Both steamers will zig-zag. The captains think the Perthshire has gone further to the north than is generally believed. The Devonport Ferry Company are considering the advisability of sending the s.s. Admiral out in search of the Perthshire in charge of Captain Roberts, but have not yet come to a decision on the matter. '
The Elingamite kept a good look out, buc saw nothing of the Perthshire. The Westralia, for Sydney, should have a good chance of picking the vessel up.
