SKIN AND HIDE REPORT.
Messrs Rejishaedt and Co. (near railway station) report as follows :— Rabbitskinp.— As we predicted last week, the ruinous pi ices to which fou3 r ers had run up skins la.tely, out of she?r spite, could;notlast, for this "week values receded to their former level,' which is more in keeping wil h the Home - market, though the margin is still .a very narrow one. Our friends will be pleased now that we did not quote those artificial rates, thus saving them disappointment and probable loss. Even to-day it Is difficult to quote reliable puces, as these were somewhat erratic at Monday's sale, things not having had time to settle -into 1 their' regular groove. Our clientp, however, may depend xipoa being treated fairly by us and iD the most liberal manner. "We require a very, large quantity of skina, ,and are prepared to give our friends the full benefit of our high limits. Sheepskins.— No change ; market steady. Hides. — All sorts, but particularly heavy weights, are in good demand atflate rates. Fat. — Prices firm with an" upward 'tendency. ' ' Hair.— Market rather easier.
