THE WOOL SALES.

A difficulty has arisen between the wool buyers and the brokers, necessitating the postponement of the first sale, 'lhe brokers demand payment in cash or marked cheques instead of ordinary cheques as at present. A conference is to be held.
At the wool sales at Bradford there was fair inquiry. Prices for crossbred were firm, but merinos were weak. October 13.
The first of the wool sale series will be held on January 16. It has been arranged that all arrivals up to the opening day will be available.
