THE PUREBRED CLYDESDALE STALLION "VTOUNG CLYDE A (imported from Scotland by Mr John Trestrail), Will TRAVEL this SEASON in the East, West, and North Taieri, and Maungatua Districts. YoiTNG Clyde is a dark-brown, imported from Scotland, and has gained the following pmee :— ln 1874 he was awarded the Biggar farmers' Society Prize of 100 sovereigns, and travelled the same district in 1875. He also gained the Silver Medal at Carnwath both years, for the best horse that travelled the Upper Ward of Lanarkshire. At the Glasgow February Show in 1875 he was one of the three drawn for the Champion Cup, and gained second honours at the Highland Society's Show same year. In 1876 he was awarded the £100 premium to travel the Eastern District of Kirkcudbright ; and was also awarded £100 in 1877. PEDIGREE. Yotjkg Clyde waß bred by Mrs Murdoch, Hattghhead, out of her favourite mare Maggie, which kind was long in her posses* sion, and gained many prizeß at local and other Showa. His sire was that famed horse Young Campsie, the property of David Riddoil,. which gained the Glasgow Prize in 1868 and 1869, and likewise the Highland Society's Prizs. Old Campsie, his grandsire, gained the following prizes :—ln: — In 1862, '65, '66, '68, and '69, the West Calder premium of £40 each year ; in 1863 and 1864 Crieff and Strathearn of £40 each year; Fitst Prize at the Highland Agricultural Society's Show in 1863 at Kelso -, and at Glasgow in 1867 the Sooiety's Gold Medal.
