Mr Alfred Brunton delivered the last of his course of lectures on " The Great Pyramid " to a crowded audience in tho Temperance Hall on Monday evening. Thechairwaslohavebeen filled by tho Rev. Lorenzo Moore, but that gentleman, not being present, the chair was unoccupied. It is not possible in the spac9 at >our disposal to give even au outline of the lecture, which occupied two hours and a-half in delivery. Mr Brunton referred to some correspondence which has been published during the week and contradicted the statements which were therein in opposition to the views Bet forth in his leel tires. He also distinctly denied that he taught the religion cf the Pyramid : he believed and taught the religion of the Bible. The Word of God must stand first, and after that anything which, tended to illustrate it, always provided that they were not to add to or subtract from the doctrine of the Word of God. Mr Brunton then spoke at very considerable length and with marked fervour in endeavouring to show how the Pyramid confirmed and illustrated the truths of the Bible, and concluded with aa earnest evangelistic address to his audience. The meeting ended with prayer. As at the previous lectures, the interest taken in the discourse was of a marked character, aud the applause was frequent and general.

The cewly elected deacons of Kuox Church —Messrs W. Hialop, Alex. Burt, and R. S. Gardiner — were inducted into their office on Sunday evening by the Rev, Dr Stuarfc. Mr Pryde was absent through illneßS.

The procseds of the recent lectures on the " Great Pyramid " given by Mr A. Brunton in the Temperance Hall have resulted in his being able to hand over the sum of Lls to Mr Macfie (the City missionary) and Mr Torrance (the chaplain of the Hospital and Gaol), for them to distribute.
