INVERCARGILL STOCK SALE.
Tuesday, Nov. 14. The Invercargill Stock Agents report having held their fortnightly sale this day, when there were small yardmgs of sheep and oattle ; store cattle were fairly well represented. Good beef was m demand and prices were better than at tho previous Bale. Store cattle values are still- unchanged; and holders find h hard to quit unless well bred and forward. A small yarding of sheep, j rincipally fat wethers ; prices compared favourab'y with last sale.
Fat Cattle — 55 yarded, not an extra good lot. Steers, best, L 0 and L 8 15s to LS for not quite finished sorts ; heifere. fairly good. L 9 10s to L 9 15s, small half finished down to L 7. Cows (a good lot) L6toLB, and L 5 5s foe inferior.
Store Cattle -174 yarded. Forward S-yesw steers* a good line ready for finishing, L 6 B*3, 2-year old well bred L 2 5a to LS 10s, year* lings (very lHtfe demand) averaged abont LI for good ; miloh cows, good and near calving, L 6 ls, others L 5 10s to L 3 15s, aged LI 10s. Fat Sheep— Wethers,, prime, 23s to 225, I*l. ls 63 to LI, unfinished 17s 6d to 17s, wethers, shorn, prime, to 17s 3d, others 17s to 16s.
Store Sheep - A line of hoggets, fairly good, was passed at 16s 3d.
