Health Department and Borough.

The Health Department and tha Invercargill Borough VGounoil are m conflict. Dr Ogston required an alleged insanitary building to be pulled down. The council declined, on the ground that the dwelling is fit for habitation, and that it would be an injustice to ihe owner. Dr Ogston writes demanding immediate com* pliance, otherwise the department will take action. The council resolved that, while anxious to second the efforts of the , department, to require the destruction of the building *iv question would be an act of injustice to which they could not be a party.
