The installation of Bro, John Swap as W.M., and the consecration of the . new hall of the above lodge, an Wednesday last, was made the occasion of the most important gathering of the craft that has taken place m Otautau. In addition to a very strong representation of the local "lodge, there were over 60 members of sister lodges from Invercargill, Winton, iJiverton, Orepuki and elsewhere, present. After the official ceremony m the lodge room, the, company adjourned to the Town Hall, where a banquet was held, and an interesting •■- toast list carried through. During the .evening musical items were given by various members of the lodge.
