" Riverton kicked olf. and the bail was returned half-way by Mclvor. Riverton followed up well, and seemed to have a certain score m view, but was stopped by Matheson. Otautau was awarded a free kick for opponents' off-side play, and for some timo kept Riverton penned m their twenty-five, when a free kick fell tp their lot, and pushed pipy hard into Otautau twenty-five. Walker here saved a score against his side, and Otautau forced down. Delaney played a grand game at half -busk for Riverton. The Riverton passing was ahead of Otautau and their rushes good, Fallow leading mast of them. Otautau lacked combination, and were more ecrappy and broken m their rusbss. Welsh aad Matheson, the respective- backs, played a pretty safe g ime. The day .was an ideal one for th game, and a fair crowd of onlookers assembled.
