Rugby Booming

Rugby Union

(From "N.Z. Truth's" Waikato Rep.) AT Morrinsvllle Rugby sub-Union recently the suitability or otherwise of the Taranaki system of organisation of provincial football was discussed at length. This system has been advocated for years m the Waikato, and has many points m its favor. However, Waikato football has not previously, attained such a high level as it has this year, and any alteration might be disastrous at the present juncture. Football is making such rapid strides m Hamilton that the present grounds are Inadequate, and a further ten acres have been leased to provide for next season. There should be no need for debentures this time, provided that the Peace Cup does not wander to Matamata or Thames. On recent matches this is quite a possibility.
