WAS NERVY BIRD

Wah May Be Improved r ■ After Spell

(From ."N.Z. Truth's" South Island Trotting Rep.) A LTHOUGH Wah can trot as fast as the- next man's horse, just how fast he can go Trainer W. J. Tompkinson has never risked asking. He has proved so nervous when taken to the races m the south that he never looked like the speedy fellow he is known to be. When he won at the Hawkes Bay meeting the season before last he looked like the makings of a champion, but following his disappointing displays of last season here, he was turned out for a spell. 'a lean customer before, he is carrying much more condition now that he has started work again, and steady work and pottering about may restore his confidence and overcome his nervous disposition.
