GLORY THAT'S NOT THEIRS
A USTRALIAN writers do not' hesitate to steal glory if the \. occasion fits m. Take the case of Tom Heeney. Tom, when he went to Australia, was given anything 1 but a good word by writers and also by promoters. After paying 1 ' his exes, his earnings bought him a new tie. It is different these days, for is not Heeney very high on the world's heavyweight ladder? Thus Heeney changes his sptfts (per medium of some Sydney writers) and is labelled as a genuine Australian. He is all wattle and a yard wide m gum. leaves! "Tom Heeney, of Australia's fistic pilgrims," is good indeed. New Zealand has always "produced the goods and on those occasions the term Australasia is always shortened to Australia. ,
