MORE BURGLARIES
SIX CASES IN HAMILTON (0.C.) HAMILTON, Monday A total of six burglaries took place in Hamilton during the week-end. Intruders entered the shop of Fowler's Bargain Stores, Frankton, and rifled the office, about £2 being stolen. The office of Mr. E. Runnerstrum, in Victoria Street, Hamilton, was also entered. The safe was pushed over, but was not opened. THIEVES AT OTAHTJHTJ TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED Two burglaries were committed at Otaluilm on Sunday night. When one householder, who had been away since Saturday, returned home he saw a man .jump lrom the bathroom window and run away. Ho gave chase and about '2OO yards along the road ho apprehended a man. who was later handed over to the police. A second man was arrested by a city detective at Huntly yesterday morning. When Mr. G. T. Blockley, of Albion Road, returned home he saw the place had been ransacked, and a child's money-box stolen. Some time later the money-box, which had been forced open, was found in Albion Road. The other burglary, which occurred at nine o'clock, some time before the one in Albion Road, was at the house of Mr. M. W. Apps, of 2(5 Great South Road, Otahuhu. As iar as was known last night nothing had been stolen from there.
