DEATH IN BUSH
FATE OF DEER STALKER (0.C.) PALMHRSTOX NORTH, Monday While on a deer-stalking expedition in the Tararua Ranges yesterday, Mr. (Jeorge Atkinson, of Makomako, aged about to, died. Accompanied by Messrs. Krnest Morgan and Charles McMurtrie, Mr. Atkinson set off at about A a.m. He complained of feeling not well and told the others to go on, and that it he did not feel well enough to catch up he would return home. They were not to worry about him. Messrs. Morgan and McMurtrie arrived back at Mr. Atkinson's home about I p.m. and finding him not there secured assistance. They began a search and later in the afternoon Mr. Atkinson was found dead in the bush.
