Tuesday Concern at the announcement, that men now in territorial camps would disperse on December 2S, instead of December "21, which was generally understood to have heen the date originally arranged, was expressed at a meeting of Invercargill business men to-day. It was ]>ointed out that many firms with employees in camp fully expected the men back in time to assist in the Christmas rush, and but for that understanding appeals miglit have been lodged in some cases to hare the period of training postponed. It was decided to telegraph the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, that, business houses were very concerned over the extension, and to suggest that unless there was a special reason the original date be reverted to.
