DECLINE IN LAMBS LARGE AUSTRALIAN STOCKS CHILLED BEEF EASIER Heavy stocks of Australian lamb are tending to, depress the Smithfield market. Prices for downs are unchanged, but others are slightly lower, according to the weekly report of the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board. There is an improved demand for wethers and ewes, but values are unchanged. With heavier Dominion arrivals prices for chilled beef are a shade easier. Trade in New Zealand porker pigs is slow, and prices are unchanged. Baconer pigs also are unaltered, but the' tendency is easier, owing to a weaker bacon market.
