r NORTHCOTE director ; FAREWELL FUNCTION
The director the Onewa Free Kindergarten at Northcote, Miss F. I. GilfiU&n, lias accepted a similar position at Melbourne, and will leavo by the Awatea on Tuesday to take up the ue\r duties. Miss Gi'fillan was farewelied at morning tea in the Northcote Returned Soldiers' Glubroom by the combined Osewa Free Kindergarten Committee sad the Mothers' Club. The president,' Mrs. A. Cowie, expressed the regret occasioned by the resignation and departure of Miss Gilfillan, who had successfully conducted the kindergarten at Northcote for the past five years.
