CHINESE ACQUITTED
A Chinese, Lum Wall, aged 43, appeared before Mr. Justice Fair and a jury in the Supreme Court yesterday on a charge of indecently assaulting a girl under the age of 10. The offence was alleged to have occurred at Te Pa pa pa on October 7. 1938. Through an interpreter he pleaded not guilty. Mr. G. S. R. Meredith prosecuted, and Mr. Dickson appeared for the accused. Without retiring the jury found the accused not guilty, and he was discharged.
