OBITUARY
MRS. A. M. ALDRIDGE The death lias occurred of .a wellknown resident of Central Taranaki, Mrs. Alice Mary Aldridge, of Stratford, aged 74. Born at Froine, Somersetshire, England, Mrs. Aldridge came to New Zealand about 65 years ago, landing at Wanganui. The family settled at Marton, where Mrs.' Aldridge was married to Mr. 11. P. Aldridge, who died 11 years, ago. Mr. and Mrs. Aldridge lived in Patea and later in Elthani, where Mrs. Aldridge was the first post-mistress. Subsequently they moved to Ngaere, Midhurst and Stratford. Mrs. Aldridge is survived by nine children, 4;} grandchildren and 12 great-grandchilaren.
MRS, F. ELLERY [bt telegraph—OWN correspondent] TAUHANGA, Friday The death has occurred of Mrs. Ellery, wife of Mr. F. Ellery, aged 77. Mrs. Ellery was born at Upper Hutt. For some time she resided at Marton and took part in the production of several light operas with the Marton Operatic Society. Alter 16 years at Kaetihi she came with ber husband to Tauranga.
