| AUCKLAND CLUB'S EVENTS JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS • ~ The Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle 'Club is arranging a series of interesting functions in connection with its diamond jubilee season. Evening sports will be held at the Domain on Wednesday, February 23, while' the Mardi Gras Cup carnival is set dbwn' for the same ground on Saturday, •March 5, when a full programme of running, jumping, hurdling, throwing, walking, ladies' and cycling events will be staged. Special points cups in the running and cycling competitions as well as individual prizes will be awarded. Nominations will close on Thursday, February 21, at the club rooms.

,Tho Victor Ludorum and St. Patrick Cup contest will be decided on Saturday, March 19, when' another complete programme will be decided.

PAPAKURA CLUB WEEKLY EVENING MEETING The weekly evening meeting of the Papakura Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club attracted a large attendance at Prince Edwrihl 'Park. Tne senior mile provided tho thrill'Of the evening, when the three leaders came up, the straight abreast, G. Osborne and J. Forrest dead-heating for first place. Results were as follows:
