PLAN FOR MUNICIPAL BATHS CURRENT RATE COLLECTIONS [by telegraph—own correspondent] TAURANGA, Thursday A decision to ask the Railway Department and the Tauranga Harbour Board to grant a site suitable for a municipal baths building approximately 200 ft. by 65ft. with room for extensions was made by the Tauranga Borough Council at its fortnightly meeting. The site selected adjoins the" railway embankment extending from Coronation Pier southward. The town clerk, Mr. R. B. Sherman, reported to the council that the amount of rates for current year collected to date was £10,519,_ out of a total of £10,861, representing a collection of 96.85 per cent.
