SCHOOL AT HAMILTON REQUEST TO THE MINISTER [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday With 270 new pupils enrolled, the lack of accommodation at the ton Technical' High School caused considerable discussion at a meeting of the board of managers last night. It was decided to make an urgent request for relief to the Minister of Education, tho Hon. P. Eraser.
The enrolment of new pupils, stated the principal, Mr. W. Fraser, equalled tho record figure established in 1936. Although tho total number of children who would attend was not yet known, it would probably be about 600. The number or boarders was larger than ever. A hostel for bovs and an extension of facilities for girls was urgently needed.
The chairman, Mr. C. Nisbet, suggested that the board should co-operate with the Hamilton High School board in its efforts to obtain a new boys' hostel, and also extra accommodation for girls. It was decided to inform the latter board of tho request to the Minister.
