INTER-COLLEGE DEBATE
The Auckland University College dehating team for the Joynt Scrolf contest was selected last night, Messrs. H. T. George and K. Braybrooko being chosen. The contest is for the intercollegiate debating challenge shield presented by Mr. J. W. Joynt, a former registrar of the University of Now Zenland. As Auckland is the holder of the shield, the debates will take place here on August 4on the motion "That Democracy Has Failed." The judges will be Messrs. W. H. Cocker and J. W. Shaw and tho Pev. P. Gladstone Hughes.
