THEFT OF MONEY
YOUTH ADMITS OFFENCE YEAR'S BORSTAL DETENTION [i'ltOM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT]
HAMILTON, Tuesday
Tlio theft of £1 10s, the property of .Robert Frederick Reid, was admitted by Stanley Desmond Toms, aged 20, before 'Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., in the Hamilton Police Court to-day. Senior-Sergeant G. H. Lambert said accused was sent oil a message to bis aunt's liomq at Frankton. The house was locked up, but accused found the key and entered. He took 10s from his uncle's trouser pocket and £1 from a wallet. Accused had several previous convictions and was still on probation. Accused was ordered to bo detained in a Borstal Institute for one year.
