Miss Frances Harty, of Wellington, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs. E. Bartle and Mrs. J. Jamieson, Sydney, are at the Hotel Careen. Miss Eunice Birch, of Reniuera, has returned from a visit to Hawke's Bay. Mrs. W. White, Eketahuna, and Mrs. T. W. Younger, Wliangarei, are at the G?ntral Hotel. Mrs. F. Moorhouse, of Mercer, is a guest of Mrs. McLachlan, Pencarrow Avenue, Mount Eden. Miss Mav Fussell, of New Plymouth, is the guest of Mrs. E. J. Brittain, Argyle Street, Heme Bay. Mrs. E. H. Northcroft, of Parnell, has left for Christchurch, where she has taken a flat for several weeks. Miss Mary Finlay, of < Mountain Road, Epsom, has returned from a visit to Palmerston North and Wellington. Mrs. P. Sim, of Palmerston North, who has been tho guest of Mrs. Arthur Rhind, at Otahuhu, has returned South. Mrs. P. Eder, and Mrs. T. Gibbs, Wellington, Mrs. H. M. Clark and Mrs. C. Aickin, Christchurch, are at the Station Hotel. Miss Una Wight, of Devonport, is returning to-day by the Wanganella from an overseas visit which included England, Egypt and Australia. There was a good attendance at the fortnightly meeting of Court Maid "Marian, Auckland ladies section of tho Ancient Order of Foresters held on Monday evening in tho Foresters Maw, Albert Street, under the presidency of the sub-chief ranger, Sister I<. letlev The balance-sheet for the quarter ended May 31 was adopted. Among others, an interesting letter was received from Court Primrose, Wellington, giving details of the activities of tho ladies branch in that district.
