CHURCH ANNIVERSARY
Celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of the Franklin'Boad Methodist Church were commenced on Sunday and will extend until next Sunday. Three special musical services were held, when solos were rendered by Mesdames de Berg and Parry, Miss Piddutt, the ltev. A. E. Orr and Mr. It. Krrington, and anthems were sung by an augmented choir under Mr. L. Simpson. There will bo a Women's Guild rally and reunion gatherings of old members. The Franklin Road Church, which has recently united with the Methodist Social Service Mission, is the second oldest Primitive Methodist church in Auckland.
