WAIKATO RIVER BRIDGE
PROGRESS AT FAIRFIELD [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Tuesday A report on the progress of the work on the bridge across the Waikato Hirer at Fairfield, was made by Mr. A. A Woodward, engineer to the Waikato County Council, at its meeting to-c?ay. he said that the work on Pier C had been delayed owing to the difficulty of keeping the water out and the fact that tko river had risen considerably. The concreting of the beams of the span on the eastern side had been completed, while the erection of the abutment on the western bank was nearing completion. Other work, stated tlie engineer, was proceeding slowly.
