COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.
To celebrate the twenty-first birthday of her daughter, Miss Mary Worthington, a party was given by Mrs. M. L. Tweedie at the homo of Mrs, McKcnzie Jeffrey, Crescent Road, Parnell, last evening. The many guests present spent an enjoyable time in dancing, and several competitions caused much amusement. The rooms had been arranged with bowls of (lame and yellow dahlias, and in the supper room were pink and white chrysanthemums. The toast to the guest of honour was proposed by Mr. J. Stuart Boyd, and this was responded to on her behalf by Mr. Jeffrey. To receive her guests Mrs. Tweedie wore a frock of black embossed chenille georgette with a pointed hem. Miss Worthington was in pompadour pink faille taffeta with an uneven hem and a vandyked waist defined with diamante, and Mrs. Jeffrey wore cyclamen georgette embossed with silver. Among the guests were Miss Flora Jeffrey, Mrs. Lewins, Mrs. Bremner, Mrs. Bawden, Mrs. St.ilwell, Mrs. Wilson Smith, Mrs. T. W. Leys, Mrs. J. Stuart Boyd, Mrs. M. Davidson, Mrs. E. J. Miller, Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. Marky, Miss Maiden, Miss Ross Hall, Miss Vera Gunn, Miss Shrewsbury, Miss Jean Dalian, Miss Marjorie Suter, Miss Diana "D'Esterre, Miss E. D'Esterre, Miss Lita Johnstone, Miss Freda Lewins and Miss Phyllis Lowins.
