High praise of tho scenery of New Zealand and tho hospitality of its people was voiced by Sir Watson Cheyne, tho eminent surgeon and Lord-Lieutenant of the Shetland Islands, who is on a health recruiting visit to New Zealand. Sir Watson said he held the view that New Zealand had a great future from a tourist point of view, and ho had enjoyed his stay immensely It had been one of the pleasures of his visit to New Zealand that ho had been able to meet a number of Shetland Islanders who are now living in tho Dominion. Sir Watson stated that Sir Robert Stout and other Shetland [slanders had assisted him in drawing up his itinerary, and in this connection ho also praised tho work of the New Zealand Tourist Department. He deeply appreciated the courtesy that had been extended to him during his stay in the Dominion, and said the memories of his present trip would always, bo among his most pleasant recollections.
