NON-TOTAL ISATOR MEETING

In connection with the application of the Hauraki Plains Racing Club for on alteration of the date of its proposed non-totalisa-tor race meeting from February 16 to February 23, a reply has been received from the secretary of the Racing Conference pointing out that in the proposed programme the amount of the nomination and acceptance fees for some races exceeded 5 per cent, of value of the first prize. The conference also desired to be advised of the distance from the racecourses at Paeroa", i'c Aroha and Til imes.
The club has placed the matter in the hands of its patron. Mr. A. M. Samuel. M.P., to adjust with the Racing Conference. In the meantime, the work of preparing the racing track is proceeding. FORTHCOMING MEETINGS." ROTORUA RACING CLUB. Nominations for all events to b® run the Rotorna Racing Club's meeting close tomorrow (Friday), at 5 p.m., with Mr. A. J. Farauhar, secretary Avondale Jockey Club, Victoria Street. Auckland, and at 9 p.m. with the secretary, Mr. E. Latrobe Hillj Rotorua.
