Mrs. David Crozier lias returned In Cliristchurch from ;i visit to Auckland. Mrs. Maurice Louisson, of Shirley, Cliristchurch, lias returned from a visit, to Auckland. ]\lr.s. Avery and 7Vliss Avery, of Rotorua, arc guests at Arundel. Miss P. Neale, of Takapuna, is at present staying at Dargaville. Mrs. McWhannell, of Sydney, is the guest of Mrs. A. YV. PerkinS, Rcmuera. Mr. and Mrs. Williams, of Rotorua, are visiting Auckland, and are staying at Braelnirii. Mis. (!. A. Kisslirig of Laurie Avenue, Parnell, is visiting New Plymouth, Mount Egmont and Masterton. Miss K. Hay, of Sydney, is on a visit to Auckland, and is the guest, ot Mrs. I l '. M. Hay, of Grafton Road. Miss 0. M. Gibbs, of London, who has lieen the guest of Miss Cottle, of Moiin' Eden, left for Ngaruawahia on her way to Rotorua. A sale of work is to lie opened at St. Aidan's parish hall this afternoon at 2 p.m. in aid of reducing the parish debt, also to help toward the fund for the new church at Meadowbank. Jt. is to Iks opened by Bishop Anderson. A large number of her friends assembled at, tho Whangarei station on Tuesday to bid tarewell to Miss Campbell, late infant mistress at tho Horahora School, who left by the express to take up an appointment at Oaniaru South. In addition to a pre Mentation made by the pupils of the school, she received from the staff a fine volume of etchings of Edinburgh. The Takapuna Ladies' Winter Bridge Club held a number of most successful ovenings during the winter, and the last of these took place at the home of Mrs. Eugene Sullivan, of Brett Avenue. The lounge was brightened with bowls of Iceland poppies and roses. The highest score for the winter was made by Mrs. E. Davies and the lowest by Mrs. A. O'Neill. Consolation prizes were given to Miss Berry and Mrs. Mowbray. Among those present were Mrs. Julius Williamson, Mrs. Grimwade, Mrs. King. Mrs. Deighton, Mrs. E. Dnvies. Mrs. Temple, Mrs. Beattie, Mrs. B. Johnston, Mrs. Becroft, Miss Alma O'Neill, Miss A. Johnston.
