KINGSLAND CADETS.
ANNUAL CHURCH PARADE. The fifth annual church parade of the Kingsland senior cadets was held yesterday morning at St. George's Anglican Church, Great North Road. About 350 cadets paraded under Captain W. Attwel and Lieutenants H. A, Blakely, W. Verry and G. Stevenson. The Auckland Artillery Band, under Lieutenant J. Lighten, played the cadets to and from church and supplied the music for all the hymns. The Rev. J. H. Cobbe conducted the service and the church was filled, every seat being occupied. The lesson was read by Lieutenant W. Verry. Preaching from the text " Their Name Liveth for Evermore," the Rev. Cobbe spoke of those who had served in the Great War to keep untarnished the principles all held most dear. They who died had left an imperishable memory, a splendid example. The preacher concluded an earnest address with an exhortation to the cadets to cultivate the Anzae spirit. j The service included the Te Deum, and was closed with the National Anthem,, i
