STRIKE AT SHANGHAI.
SHIPPING FIRM'S CREWS. BLOW AT SUN CHUAN-FANG. A. and N.Z. PEKING-. Nov. 12. Agents of the Reds operating at Shanghai have succeeded in causing a strike on the part of the men belonging to the fleet of the China Merchants' Steamship Company. This is the largest shipping company in Chinese waters. The object of the move is to strike a blow at Marshal Sun Chuan-fangs means of transportation. The reason given for the strike was the failure of the company to compensate the relatives of the craw and of the other victims of the disaster to the river-boat Kiang-yung, which was recently blown up at Kiu-kiang, killing L2OO soldiers and the crew.
