PAPAROA HOSPITAL.
VISIT BY MINISTER, [BJf TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] PAPAROA. Saturday. • The Hon. J. A, Young, Minister of Health, visited the district to-day. He was met at the Paparoa Hospital by the Otamatea County representatives on the Kaipara Hospital Board and representatives from the Otamatea County Council. The, Minister inspected the hospital ami expressed himself well pleased With the conditions at the institution, which reflected great credit on the matron and staff. A deputation of the Otamatea members of the Hospital Board tirged the opinions of their ratepayers against removal of hospital buildings from Te Kopuru to Dargaville and against the establishment of "a separate maternity home at' Dargaville. An addition to the present hospital at Te Kopuru would be central enough to serve all purposes -and the cost of establishment and upkeep would be greatly minimised. The Minister promised careful consideration of the facts set forth by the dejmtittiou.
