AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE., Little business was transacted on tins Auckland sharemarket on Saturday. In Government securities inquiry for War Loans, 1939, unproved by 2s 6d to £96 12s 6d. Offers for the 1927 issue of Inscribed Stock increased 5s to £9B, with no response from holders. Buyers of tho 1938 issue, on the other hand, receded 2s 6d to £96 12s 6d. Other Government securities were unchanged. In banks Now Zealands. new issue, were unaltered at holders 575, buyers 55s 9d. Nationals of New Zealand wore again sought at £6 17s, holders not quoting. National Eights wised Id to 26s lid, offers remaining at 26s 6d. In insurance New Zealands wero unchanged at holders 34s 3d, buyers 345. South British were .sought, at the lower figure of 49s 3d, holders firm at 50s 6d. In coals Taupiris moved noarer an accommodation, holders receding 3d to 18s 6d, buyers advancing a similar amount to 18s. Holders of preferences were revealed at 23s 6d. In miscellaneous Taranaki Oils firmed 6d to 23s 6d, buyers receding 3d to 21s 9d. In mining Moanataiaris firmed Id to 2s sd, offers simultaneously advancing 2d to 2s. A sale took place at 2s 3d. Waihis were unaltered at holders 263 9d, buyers 26s 6d. Offers for Kawaraus advanced 3d to 15s without response. The following sale took place:—Monnataiari Gold, 2s 3d. CLOSING QUOTATIONS.
