BOUGHT BY McDOUGLAS. A. and N.Z. LONDON,-June 19. Drake, winner of the 4? c ?> All-aged Stakes baa Been bought by McDouglass for 5500 guineas. It was- first stated th(it Eric Connolly "was the buyer and subsequently that the horse, was bought by Dr. y Drake is a ' five-yeaiyold horse by Streamer from the St. Serf mare Lady Burghley At two years old he won six races and his prospects of winning at least one of the classic events of 1923 were viewed in a promisisng light. Unfortunately he went amiss and was withdrawn from all engagements. Last year he won a couple of good races. When offered as a yearling Drake sold for 1300gns.
