This in- 1 stitution has established huts very close ■ to the firing line on the ba.ttfefronts I whiire British soldiers are engaged At ! these huts comfort and cheer of a spiritual ! and a temporal character is dispensed ■ In the present German offensive 55 Church 1 Army recreation huts and centres have been swept out cf existence and an appeal is being made to the citizens of the mpire for contributions to help replace the=e buildings, which have coma to bo regarded as an absolute necessity to the men of the fighting forces amid the strew* and S^ ? f War cundit , ion3 - The h "ts each cost £500 to erect and equip, and the public is asked to generously help the Church Army ,n this matter. Auckland contributions may be sent to the Rev. J. R. Burgin at the Diocesan Office, Shortland Street. i
