CADET'S SUDDEN DEATH.
FALLS WHILE MARCHING.

Invercargill, Monday. As the cadets were leaving tho show grounds after the review by General Sir lan Hamilton to-day. a hoy about, 18 years of age. a member of the Mataura squad, named Thos. McDermott. suddenly pitched forward and fell on his face. He was picked up and carried to the adjacent hospital upon an improvised stretcher, but on examination life was found to be extinct. Tho doctor in charge of the institution is as yet unable to give any definite information as to the cause of death.
